Mood Child returns with ‘Dubby Moods’, an 8-track album exploring the deeper side of minimal house through hypnotic grooves, rolling low end, and finely crafted sound design.
Built for long journeys on the dancefloor, ‘Dubby Moods’ embraces the essence of dubby minimal, where every detail has its purpose. Tight percussion, spacious textures, subtle atmospheres, and weighty basslines come together to create records that reward both the listener and the selector. Rather than demanding attention, these tracks draw you in through groove, patience, and precision, proving that sometimes the smallest details leave the biggest impact.
The release sees the welcome return of Italian favourite Paolo Martini alongside Brazilian talents Thi Calista and Lopz, while introducing a new wave of artists to the Mood Child family: Ninetree, Kastro (UK), Romita Raiz, Charlesworth, Karagio (GR), Gero Ojeda, and Benson. Together they deliver eight distinctive cuts, each bringing its own interpretation of deep, bass-driven minimalism while staying true to the album’s hypnotic spirit.
