Mood Child welcomes London DJ and producer Tim James back to the label for MC066, presenting ‘Tim James Moods’, his six-track debut album. Having previously released on Mood Child, Tim returns with his most complete artistic statement to date, placing the full character and range of his sound firmly in focus.
A recognised presence within London’s house music circuit, Tim James has performed at some of the city’s most iconic venues, including fabric, Studio 338, E1 and 93 Feet East. His catalogue also features releases on Roush Records, Ohana, Diggin and WAY OUT Records, while his productions have earned support from Joseph Capriati, Manda Moor, Marco Carola and Dennis Cruz, among others.
Bold, daring and deliberately different, ‘Tim James Moods’ thrives on the unexpected. Heavyweight low-end and infectious energy run throughout, joined by off-kilter details, unusual ideas and a distinct twist of weirdness, all without ever losing sight of the groove. Each of the album’s six tracks carries its own personality while contributing to a focused and cohesive whole. The result is a confident, club-driven album that captures Tim James at his most adventurous.
